Patient Care Technician | PreOp/PACU | PRN

North Central Surgical Center (NCSC) is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are an elective surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year. Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & I 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, Podiatry and Bariatric surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International. Joint Commission Accredited.

We are currently seeking a PRN Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team.

Job Duties:

  • Assists with direct patient care, patient flow through departments, answers phones, troubleshoots for nurses, chart building, and performs specialized medical procedures of a routine nature as needed.
  • Authorized to access storage areas for the purpose of performing patient care duties within the scope of practice.

Required Skills:

  • High school student or graduate or equivalent.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), preferred
  • One year of experience is preferred
  • AHA BLS certification, required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Possess the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.
  • Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
  • Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition and ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
