Job description


As a Patient Care Extender (PCE) at St. Cloud Hospital, you'll play a vital role in supporting patients and the care team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). Working alongside dedicated healthcare professionals, you'll help provide compassionate, high-quality care while creating a safe and welcoming environment for patients.
The PCE is a unique, multi-functional role that combines responsibilities of a Unit Support Associate, Nursing Assistant, and Health Unit Coordinator. Duties include assisting with patient care, stocking and maintaining supplies, transporting patients, coordinating inpatient beds, and supporting unit operations to ensure exceptional patient care.
Schedule:
  • Part-time | 48-64 hours every two weeks | Onsite
  • Day/Evening | 8-hr shifts | 6:30am-3pm, 8am-4:30pm, 9am-5:30pm, 3pm-9:30pm,
  • Approximately every 6th weekend | 1-2 holidays year

Pay and
  • Pay range: $19.15 - $29.28 per hour
  • Extra pay for working evening, night and weekend shifts!

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • EMT, Nursing Assistant or equivalent experience preferred
  • One year experience preferred, will train lieu of experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required, can be obtained once hired.
