Overview

Cornerstone Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electronic Repair Technician to join a growing team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and assembling electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical products including luminaires, circuit boards, and lighting components.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with surface mount PCB repair, fine pitch soldering, and electronic troubleshooting in a fast-paced production or repair environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair circuit boards and subassemblies using test equipment and custom tools
  • Perform surface mount soldering and fine pitch soldering repairs
  • Assemble and repair luminaires and other electro-mechanical products
  • Repair cables and perform additional lighting-related repairs
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical bulletins, and assembly instructions
  • Identify defects such as solder shorts, damaged components, reversed polarity, missing parts, and improper solder connections
  • Set up and operate testing equipment to evaluate product performance and functionality
  • Diagnose and repair customer-returned and non-standard products
  • Maintain accurate repair documentation and follow quality standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronic technical repair
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree, technical trade school certificate, or equivalent hands-on training preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electronic failures
  • Experience working with surface mount components and PCB repair
  • Ability to use testing and diagnostic equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
