A PCB Test Debug Technician is a professional who specializes in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing printed circuit boards (PCBs) in electronic devices. They use various diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults, perform functional tests, and ensure that PCBs meet quality and performance standards. Their work is essential in manufacturing, quality control, and maintenance environments to ensure reliable operation of electronic products. These technicians often collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes. Strong technical skills and attention to detail are important in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a PCB Test Debug Technician?

To thrive as a PCB Test Debug Technician, you need a solid understanding of electronics theory, circuit analysis, and experience with PCB assembly, usually backed by a relevant technical diploma or associate degree. Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering equipment, and test software such as ICT (In-Circuit Test) systems is commonly required. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication are important soft skills for quickly diagnosing and resolving faults. These competencies ensure accurate troubleshooting and repair, which are critical for maintaining product quality and minimizing production delays.
