Job Description:

MPS is seeking a self-motivated senior level engineer to drive system level architecture, product definition and application support for power management solutions for High Reliability Compute Power applications. This individual works closely with customers, internal teams such as marketing, sales and field application engineers to develop new products, and supports design-in activities of MPS compute products into customer projects. It is important to have a deep understanding of high reliability semiconductor component specifications in any one of the end applications such as satellites, aerospace, space or defense. System level understanding of power management solutions for SoCs, CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs used in such high reliability applications is desirable. Travel up to 10% of the time might be necessary.
Essential Functions:

  • Product Promotion: Partner with marketing to create marketing collateral to promote the products internally to field teams and externally to customers. Collect and organize data to highlight MPS product value proposition. Create appropriate materials to help field applications win.
  • Customer Support: Support field applications and customer engineers to design-in new products. Provide remote or on-site support to resolve any design issues.
  • Competitive Analysis: Maintain a good understanding of competitive landscape from technology, and product definition perspectives.
  • New Product Ideas: Understand customer's current & future needs to influence product roadmap to add new products and product families.
  • New Product Launch: Develop datasheets and other product collaterals to help with product release.


Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of work experience in Product Definition, System Engineering or Applications in high reliability applications.
  • Experience with Power Management ICs for Space or Satellite SoC power is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB board design. Good understanding of schematics and layouts.
  • Experience with lab equipment to test and debug power management ICs.
  • BSEE or equivalent education required.
