For over 45 years, a leading Southern California Electronic Manufacturing Service (EMS) company, whose services include PCB assembly, electro-mechanical assembly and systems integration has been providing manufacturing services to the industrial, medical, aerospace, defense, and automotive markets. The Company has an excellent Through-Hole Hand Soldering Assembler opportunity due to exceptional growth over the past two years.

Position Overview:
The Selective Solder Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, programming, monitoring, and maintaining selective soldering equipment used to solder through-hole components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). The role ensures product quality, compliance with IPC standards, and safe operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and perform basic maintenance on selective solder machines.
  • Program and adjust machine settings, including solder levels, temperatures, and flux application.
  • Load PCBs, monitor solder quality, and troubleshoot process issues.
  • Interpret assembly instructions, schematics, and diagrams for correct component placement.
  • verify finished assemblies to IPC quality standards.
  • Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with ESD and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating Selective Soldering Machines.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards .
  • Experience with basic hand tools.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Safety-conscious work habits.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work modified hours as required.
