Job Title: Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Location: Leesburg
Duration: 24 Weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:50 AM - 3:40 PM
Compensation: $20 - $26 per hour


Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support students with physical and emotional needs within a school-based setting. The PCA will work under the guidance of classroom teachers and special education staff to provide individualized assistance, ensuring students' safety, comfort, and active participation throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for professionals who are patient, attentive, and passionate about supporting children in an educational environment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students with activities of daily living, including mobility, personal hygiene, and feeding

  • Support safe transitions between classrooms, therapy sessions, and school activities

  • Encourage and assist student participation in classroom instruction and school programs

  • Monitor student behavior and communicate observations to teachers and support staff

  • Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment

  • Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with teachers and special education teams

  • Provide physical assistance, including lifting and positioning students when required

  • Follow established safety and school protocols at all times


Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior experience working with children, particularly in special education or support roles, preferred

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to provide patient-centered care in a structured school environment

  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred
