Position Overview

Are you a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) looking to enhance the mental wellness of individuals within a unique treatment setting? Humanist Self Psychotherapy, PC is seeking a full-time (remote) LICSW to join our Detox Center team in Spokane, Washington. In this essential role, you will provide crucial mental health support tailored specifically to the needs of those undergoing detoxification, creating a positive impact on their journey toward recovery.

About the Organization

Humanist Self Psychotherapy, PC is committed to offering innovative and empathetic healthcare services to individuals grappling with substance use and mental health disorders. Our mission is to deliver high-quality mental health care in a safe and secure environment, promoting healing and rehabilitation. We value the significance of a multidisciplinary approach, and we believe in addressing both the psychological and emotional needs of our clients effectively.

Work Environment

This role will be performed remotely, allowing for flexible work arrangements, while still necessitating occasional in-person collaboration with our healthcare professionals at the Detox Center. Our facility prioritizes a supportive work environment where social workers engage in meaningful dialogues and share insights with colleagues. The remote nature of the position ensures you'll have the tools and resources necessary to provide high-quality care while dealing with clients navigating the complexities of detox.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations that focus on personal histories, presenting psychological concerns, and potential risk factors inherent in the detox process.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aiming to address specific mental health challenges, and enhance emotional well-being as they navigate through detox.
  • Utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, including evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed methods, to support the mental health of clients.
  • Lead individual and group therapy sessions designed to foster growth, emotional stability, and healthy coping mechanisms during the detox period.
  • Coordinate care with a team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and counselors, ensuring a comprehensive approach to client treatment.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during acute mental health emergencies, applying de-escalation techniques and facilitating referrals to higher levels of care when required.
  • Deliver psychoeducation to clients and their families, enabling them to understand mental health issues and available resources for ongoing support.
  • Maintain meticulous and legally compliant documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, reflecting all interactions and interventions.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development activities to foster knowledge sharing and enhance collaborative efforts.
  • Stay abreast of the latest legislation and ethical guidelines governing mental health practices within detox and correctional settings.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on individuals experiencing substance use challenges who are entering detoxification. The clientele represents a diverse demographic, often facing complex psychological issues that accompany substance dependence. Your expertise will directly contribute to promoting recovery and resiliency among this vulnerable population, facilitating their ability to achieve mental stability and plan for reintegration into their communities.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Currently valid LICSW licensure in the state of Washington.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health, preferably within a correctional or detox environment.
  • A strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and principles of trauma-informed care.
  • Proficiency in conducting detailed mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies.
  • Experience delivering individual and group therapeutic sessions using various therapeutic approaches.
  • Exceptional crisis intervention abilities, with a calm and collected demeanor in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build trust with clients from varying backgrounds and circumstances.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a detox or addiction treatment setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and case management.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support systems for individuals recovering from substance use disorders.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, a retirement savings plan, and paid time off. Your well-being is our priority, and we strive to provide our employees with the support they need to thrive both professionally and personally.

Career Growth Opportunities

At Humanist Self Psychotherapy, PC, we believe in fostering professional development for our employees.
