Job description

Position Summary

This position's primary role is to process mailed in customer check payments. This is a CSR I l level position and will also handle customer correspondence and walk in customers. Must have a strong knowledge of company policies/guidelines as directed by management; and must be flexible and willing to adjust to other duties of the CSC based on business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receives and processes customer mailed in check payment utilizing the back office system.
  • Performs daily close out procedures including deposit preparation.
  • Completes required reporting, recording individual completed daily work statistics.
  • Performs payment research when required.
  • Performs accurate cash, check, and credit card payment processing.
  • Documents customer interactions and actions in the database.
  • Researches and resolves customer issues.
  • Receives and processes account update requests from customers.
  • Performs as a call center CSR when required to handle call surges or to schedule requirements.
  • Makes outbound calls when requested.
  • Performs notice quality review activities when assigned.
  • Performs image review when required.
  • Performs data entry.
  • Helps other departments with their tasks when mailed in check processing volume is low.
  • Maintains an above average attendance record. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED Certificate is required.
  • Must successfully pass criminal background check
  • Must have worked for a minimum of 90 days on the project and received satisfactory attendance and performance ratings; and have an ongoing knowledge of company policies/guidelines.
  • Prior customer service, retail, or call center experience preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal communication skills (phone etiquette).
  • Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, and highly organized.
  • Strong data entry and computer skills. Ability to work independently.
