Job Title: Payment Platform Lead – Finastra GPP

Location: Pittsburgh, PA / Dallas, TX
Experience: 15+ Years


Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Payment Platform Lead with strong hands-on Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) / Global Payment Platform expertise to lead enterprise payment platform initiatives within a large banking environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in payment processing, payment systems integration, payment architecture, and enterprise banking platforms, along with the technical leadership skills required to drive complex payment implementations and production support.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, enhancement, and support of Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise payment processing and payment platform initiatives.
  • Design scalable and reliable payment solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Lead payment system integrations with banking applications, APIs, middleware, and downstream/upstream systems.
  • Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into payment platform solutions.
  • Work closely with architecture, engineering, infrastructure, operations, and business teams.
  • Troubleshoot complex GPP and payment-processing issues across development and production environments.
  • Support production deployments, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and platform stability.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to development and support teams.
  • Ensure payment solutions meet banking requirements for security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to drive payment platform modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of overall IT experience, preferably within Banking or Financial Services.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Finastra Global PAYplus (GPP) / Global Payment Platform.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise payment processing and payment systems.
  • Strong experience with payment platform architecture, design, and integration.
  • Experience implementing and supporting large-scale payment solutions in banking environments.
  • Strong understanding of payment transaction flows and integration patterns.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex payment platform and production issues.
  • Proven experience providing technical leadership across enterprise initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, architects, and senior leadership.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with payment modernization initiatives within large financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of real-time payments, ACH, wire transfers, or other enterprise payment rails.
  • Experience with APIs, middleware, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Strong understanding of banking technology architecture and production environments.
