We are seeking an Associate Infrastructure Engineer (Payment Systems) to support and enhance payment technologies across all our platforms! This role serves as a key liaison between business teams, technology partners, payment service providers, and processors to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient payment operations. It will support both card-present and card-not-present payment environments, including retail point-of-sale, eCommerce, mobile payments, gift cards, digital wallets, and emerging payment capabilities.
We are seeking an Associate Infrastructure Engineer (Payment Systems) to support and enhance payment technologies across all our platforms! This role serves as a key liaison between business teams, technology partners, payment service providers, and processors to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient payment operations. It will support both card-present and card-not-present payment environments, including retail point-of-sale, eCommerce, mobile payments, gift cards, digital wallets, and emerging payment capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Support payment technologies across retail stores, digital commerce, mobile, and omnichannel experiences.
  • Partner with payment processors, gateways, and service providers to resolve production issues and support new payment capabilities.
  • Participate in implementation, certification, and testing activities for new payment methods, processors, terminals, and payment technologies.
  • Monitor and diagnose payment processing issues, transaction failures, authorization declines, settlement discrepancies, and processor-related incidents.
  • Support payment-related projects and critical initiatives across stores and digital channels.
  • Analyze payment data and transaction flows to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Support store openings, payment device deployments, and payment infrastructure changes.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations for critical payment systems.
  • Assist with compliance activities related to PCI DSS and payment security requirements
  • Other duties as assigned

  • 3 - 5 years of experience supporting payment technologies, payment operations, or payment processing environments.
  • Possess knowledge and understanding of payment processes, related systems, and PCI DSS standards.
  • Experience working with a Payment Gateway provider, and a plus if the candidate has experience with Aurus.
  • Familiarity with major card brands including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
  • Knowledge of gift card processing and alternative payment methods.
  • Experience with the integration and enablement of payment terminals to process payments
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge and experience of EMV, P2PE, understanding of POS hardware connectivity to payment gateways
  • Experience working in a fast retail, eCommerce, or omnichannel environment.
