The Crypto Operations team focuses on delivering a reliable customer experience while managing operational risk across Robinhood's crypto products. The team oversees settlement, custody, and account services processes. You will contribute to maintaining accurate, secure, and scalable systems that support global crypto operations.
As Director of Crypto Operations, you will lead end-to-end settlement and money movement processes across Robinhood's crypto entities. You will oversee daily fiat and crypto operations, manage key counterparty relationships, and ensure appropriate wallet balances and reconciliation processes. This role includes leading an org of managers and operations specialists, improving workflows, and supporting audits and regulatory inquiries. You will also introduce automation and tooling to improve settlement speed, reconciliation accuracy, and operational scale.
This role is based in our New York, NY office, with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week.

What you'll do

Oversee daily fiat and crypto settlement processes with market makers, liquidity providers, and exchanges across multiple entities
Oversee wallet rebalancing, custody reconciliation, and liquidity thresholds to ensure accurate and timely operations
Lead, coach, and develop an org of operations managers and specialists responsible for settlement,money movement, and account servicing activities
Improve operational workflows by identifying inefficiencies and implementing scalable solutions, including automation tools
Work with partners across trading operations, treasury, risk, engineering, and compliance to support secure and consistent operations

What you bring

6+ years of experience in crypto operations, including settlement, custody, and money movement in an institutional setting
5+ years of experience managing and developing teams, with a track record of supporting team performance and growth
Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency markets, exchanges, and on-chain transactions
Familiarity with global fiat payment systems and associated operational controls
Experience supporting audits and regulatory reviews, with a clear understanding of risk management and compliance requirements
