This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional Guest Services as part of our Sales & Catering TEAM, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel's catering sales function. As a Catering Sales Manager, your primary responsibility is to manage accounts, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction while actively soliciting both past and new business. The goal is to achieve or exceed all revenue targets.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness
  • Drive catering sales by proactively seeking new business opportunities and responding promptly to inquiries
  • Lead and manage efficient sale of banquets and catering and room rentals within the Sales and Catering Division
  • Conduct site inspections with potential and existing clients, showcasing our exceptional offering
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure seamless account servicing
  • Maintain a database of accounts in defined territories within the sales system
  • Participate in the development of sales plans, sales research, forecasting and other department activities

Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:
  • Must have extensive knowledge of Food & Beverage etiquette, guest relations, and service standards
  • Ability to read, write and speak fluently to interact with clients
  • Ability to analyze client needs and negotiate pricing
  • Basic mathematical skills to complete reports and point of sale
  • Ability to work under time pressure and extensive hours
  • Interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfaction

Other Expectations:
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
  • Upon employment, all team members are required to fully comply with rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities.

Supportive Functions:
In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supporting functions
  • Audit client checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Supervise clerical staff in distribution of written materials.
  • Type contracts, menus, letters and reports.

Qualifications:
Education:
    • High school diploma or its equivalent

Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role preferred.
    • Food and Beverage knowledge required
    • Previous Sales experience required
    • Proficiency in MS outlook, word and excel
    • Previous experience with Hilton Systems: PEP, Delphi preferred
