Position: The Vice President (VP) of Human Resources will serve as the senior People leader for The IMA Group. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, this executive will architect and execute IMA's People strategy across a complex, multi-state, multi-division workforce and will play a pivotal role supporting M&A activities as the company continues to grow. The VP will lead a team of 15+ professionals supporting 950+ employees and 3000+ Independent Contractors.
Location: Preferred location in the Northeast (NY/NJ/PA), Southeast, or Central time zone.
This position can be remote, hybrid, or located in one of our offices.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic vision and operational execution. The VP of HR will own:
  • Full-cycle talent acquisition and workforce planning
  • Employee relations and HR business partner functions
  • Policy development, deployment, and compliance (including URAC, SOC 1, SOC 2, and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements)
  • Provider credentialing
  • Total rewards, benefit administration, and open enrollment
  • HR data, analytics, and reporting
  • Workplace safety, loss prevention, and workers' compensation
  • Training and development
  • Onboarding and retention programs
  • M&A diligence and integration of acquired companies
Pay: Base salary of $180,000 - $220,000, commensurate with experience and location plus annual performance bonus and an equity participation package, offering the opportunity to become a shareholder in a privately held, PE-backed company. IMA offers a full benefit package including PTO, medical, dental, vision, life, STD, LTD, 401(k), +++.
Required:
  • 10-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience as a strategic HR partner to C-Suite and senior executives
  • Proven track record managing HR in a multi-state, distributed workforce
  • Experience in healthcare, medical services, or a highly regulated industry
  • Hands-on HRIS management experience (Paycom experience a strong plus)
  • Deep knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law and HR compliance
  • Experience leading employee relations, including investigations and conflict resolution
  • Strong benefits administration and total rewards experience
Preferred:
  • Prior experience working in a Private Equity/Venture Capital backed business with an ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Experience with provider credentialing in a medical services organization
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and privacy requirements
  • Experience supporting M&A activity or organizational integrations
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
