TOTE Resources is seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our Finance team in Tacoma, Washington. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily Accounts Payable operations within a shared services environment supporting multiple TOTE companies.

As the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, maintaining strong internal controls, developing team members, and driving continuous process improvement. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on organizational efficiency while partnering with stakeholders across the business.

What You'll DoLeadership & Team Management
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable team within a shared services environment.
  • Interview, hire, train, coach, and develop team members.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work to ensure departmental goals and service levels are achieved.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve issues, and foster a positive team environment.
Accounts Payable Operations
  • Oversee Accounts Payable transactions to ensure they are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with service level agreements, internal controls, and operational standards.
  • Manage month-end close activities related to Accounts Payable for all TOTE companies.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable-related general ledger accounts and partner with General Accounting to ensure accurate accruals and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with 1099 and 480 tax reporting requirements.
  • Assist with annual financial audits and supporting documentation.
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Develop, document, review, and improve Accounts Payable processes and internal controls.
  • Establish and monitor operational metrics related to volume, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, strengthen controls, and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure operational compliance and consistency across Accounts Payable functions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience managing Accounts Payable processes and controls.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Four (4) years of accounting-related experience.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience working within a shared services environment.
  • Experience supporting financial audits and tax reporting.
  • Experience improving operational processes and internal controls.

Compensation & BenefitsCompensation

Salary Range: $54,487 – $95,378 annually

Target Hiring Range: $74,933 – $80,000 annually

Compensation will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, and specific job duties.
