Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialist | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $51,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Allendale seeking experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper coding for manufacturing expenses.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Generate customer invoices and statements accurately and promptly.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collection efforts for overdue accounts.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH, and wire transfers.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities related to AP/AR.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing high volumes of transactions.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
• Familiarity with the procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles in manufacturing
• Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
• Experience with expense reporting software (e.g., Concur, Expensify)
