Pay Pigs information

What are pay pigs?

'Pay Pigs' is a slang term generally referring to individuals, often men, who willingly give money to others—typically women—in a financial domination (findom) context. In this arrangement, the 'Pay Pig' derives satisfaction from surrendering money or gifts without expecting physical interaction. These exchanges are usually consensual and occur online, often as part of adult or fetish communities. The relationship is based on power dynamics, with the 'Pay Pig' enjoying the loss of control over their finances. It's important for both parties to establish clear boundaries and consent.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a payroll specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Payroll Specialist, you need a solid understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and accounting principles, often supported by a degree in accounting or related field. Familiarity with payroll software such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks, as well as relevant certifications like the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), is typically required. Attention to detail, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills are vital soft skills for this role. These capabilities ensure accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with legal and financial standards.

Ready to Build Your Veterinary Career While Working with Dogs, Cats, Birds, Reptiles & More?
Animal and Bird Medical Center is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our compassionate and growing team!
If you already have hands-on dog and cat veterinary experience but want to broaden your skills, this could be the perfect next step. In addition to traditional companion animals, our team regularly provides care for birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, pocket pets, reptiles, and more.
Previous experience in dog and cat veterinary medicine is required, but don't worry if your résumé doesn't include parrots or reptiles just yet. Experience with birds and exotic pets is not required-we're happy to provide training in companion avian and exotic animal care.
And yes, you'll even get to share your workplace with two Amazon parrots who serve as our lobby mascots!
Why our Veterinary Technician Assistants Love It Here
  • Work hands-on with an incredible variety of species
  • Build on your existing dog and cat veterinary experience while learning avian and exotic animal care
  • Receive training and support as you expand your clinical skills
  • Join a compassionate, supportive, family-like veterinary team
  • Work approximately 35-38 hours per week
  • Enjoy a predictable schedule of four full weekdays and one half-day every other Saturday
  • Gain experience assisting with examinations, procedures, surgery, diagnostics, and patient care
  • Work alongside veterinarians and experienced veterinary professionals who value learning and teamwork
  • Develop skills that go beyond traditional small animal general practice
  • Enjoy professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • Make a meaningful difference for pets and the people who love them
  • Get to know patients ranging from dogs and cats to birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, pocket pets, reptiles, and more
  • Work alongside two Amazon parrots who take their lobby mascot responsibilities very seriously

What our Veterinary Technician Assistants Do
As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you'll play an important role in providing compassionate patient care and supporting our veterinarians, technicians, clients, and hospital operations.
  • Provide attentive daily patient care and husbandry
  • Assist veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Safely handle and restrain canine, feline, avian, exotic, and other patients based on your training and experience
  • Obtain patient histories and relevant information as needed
  • Assist with patient preparation for procedures
  • Support surgical procedures and patient care
  • Monitor patients during surgery and recovery based on your experience and training
  • Assist with diagnostic radiographs and proper patient positioning
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples
  • Assist with diagnostic testing as directed
  • Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the medical team
  • Maintain accurate patient information and documentation
  • Provide compassionate communication and service to clients
  • Maintain clean, organized, stocked, and efficient patient-care areas
  • Follow hospital sanitation, safety, and infection-control protocols
  • Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments as needed
  • Collaborate with teammates to maintain an efficient daily workflow
  • Jump in wherever needed to support patients, clients, and coworkers

What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone with a solid foundation in dog and cat veterinary medicine who is excited to keep learning while expanding their experience with new species.
  • Previous hands-on dog and cat veterinary experience is required
  • Experience assisting with veterinary examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Confidence with safe and compassionate canine and feline patient handling
  • Strong communication and client-service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • The ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced veterinary environment
  • Dependability and professionalism
  • A positive, collaborative, team-first attitude
  • Willingness to ask questions and continue developing new skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, clients, and fellow support team members
  • A genuine passion for animal care
  • Interest in expanding your knowledge of avian and exotic veterinary medicine
  • A willingness to jump in and help wherever needed

Experience with birds and exotic pets is not required. We'll help you build those skills through hands-on training and support.
The Extras You'll Actually Feel
Working at Animal and Bird Medical Center means your veterinary experience doesn't have to stop with dogs and cats.
One appointment may involve a familiar canine or feline patient, while another gives you the opportunity to learn about the unique needs of a rabbit, ferret, guinea pig, bird, reptile, or other companion animal. That variety makes this an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to keep building their veterinary career and develop a broader clinical skill set.
You'll have the chance to learn alongside a supportive team that understands new species can mean new techniques, new knowledge, and plenty of questions. We're here to help you grow.
And with two Amazon parrots serving as our lobby mascots, there's rarely a dull day around here.
