Job description

Summary
The Triv Team is hiring a motivated and coachable Junior House Buying Specialist to help us purchase homes throughout Northeast Ohio.
*This is a 100% commission based job but most appointments will be set for you.
Your primary responsibility will be attending seller appointments, meeting with homeowners, evaluating properties, presenting solutions, and helping us secure real estate deals.
Unlike many sales and real estate positions, we invest heavily in TV, direct mail, Google PPC, digital advertising, and other marketing channels. Our team qualifies incoming leads and schedules seller appointments for you, allowing you to focus on meeting homeowners, building relationships, negotiating, and buying houses.
This is a field-based, performance-driven opportunity with hands-on training, company-provided appointments, and uncapped earning potential. No previous real estate experience is required.
Responsibilities
  • Attend company-scheduled seller appointments throughout Northeast Ohio.
  • Build trust with homeowners and understand their motivation, timeline, and property needs.
  • Walk properties, evaluate their overall condition, take detailed photos, and document visible repairs.
  • Work with the acquisitions team to determine appropriate offers and present solutions to homeowners.
  • Follow up with sellers, negotiate within company guidelines, and help secure signed purchase agreements.
  • Generate your own additional opportunities through Realtor relationships, referrals, networking, "driving for dollars", and other lead-generation activities.
  • Assist with buyer walkthroughs, contractor meetings, inspections, photographer appointments, vendor access, and other property-related visits as needed.
Qualifications
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated by performance-based compensation and uncapped earning potential.
  • Comfortable meeting homeowners independently and discussing their selling situation.
  • Coachable, dependable, organized, and willing to follow a proven process.
  • Persistent with follow-up and comfortable negotiating.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout Northeast Ohio.
  • Comfortable entering vacant, distressed, or poorly maintained properties.
  • Available primarily during normal business hours, with occasional evening or weekend appointments based on seller availability.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone, Google Photos, and basic CRM technology.

Real estate experience is not required. Experience in sales, customer service, construction, investing, or negotiation is helpful but not necessary.
About-our-team
The Triv Team is a Cleveland-based real estate company helping homeowners buy, sell, and solve challenging real estate situations throughout Northeast Ohio.
We purchase properties directly, renovate and resell homes, work with real estate investors, and provide traditional real estate services when listing a property is the better solution for the homeowner.
Our team invests heavily in TV, direct mail, pay-per-click advertising, digital marketing, and other lead-generation channels to create a consistent pipeline of opportunities. We believe in treating homeowners professionally and ethically, communicating honestly, and recommending solutions based on each seller's individual situation.
Team members receive hands-on training, access to company-generated opportunities, support from experienced real estate professionals, and the ability to grow into larger roles within our acquisitions and investment businesses.
