This role focuses on network architecture, transport, and interoperability across secure enterprise and mission systems. The Network Architect will help assess current infrastructure, design resilient future-state solutions, and resolve complex issues across globally connected and encrypted communications environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Design network architectures that support mission-critical communications and system interoperability
- Analyze existing network infrastructures and identify opportunities to improve security, reliability, and availability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across operational environments
- Apply expertise in network design, protocols, and infrastructure, including IPv4, IPv6, QoS, MPLS, and BGP
- Develop and update network topology diagrams using network diagramming tools such as MS Visio
- Support STIG compliance, security hardening, and secure device access control implementation
- Apply network security principles and practices, including Crypto, COMSEC, ViPER, or VOIP, to configure network devices
- Develop architectures supporting worldwide encrypted communications
- Model bandwidth, data flows, and mission threads in support of systems engineering and MBSE activities
- Contribute to scalable and resilient network solutions across on-premise or cloud architectures
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a network or data center systems engineer
- 3+ years of experience in network architecture
- Experience in network design, protocols, and infrastructure, and with IPv4, IPv6, QoS, MPLS, or BGP
- Knowledge of network topology diagrams and modifying them using network diagramming software such as MS Visio
- Knowledge of STIG network device security compliance, security hardening requirements, and secure device access control login methods
- Knowledge of network security principles and practices, including Crypto, COMSEC, ViPER, or VOIP, to install and configure network devices
- Ability to develop network architecture to support worldwide encrypted communications and model bandwidth, data flows, and mission threads in MBSE
- Bachelor's degree
- Network+, Security+, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience with missile warning mission or ground-based systems
- Experience with enterprise network management tools to monitor network performance status, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection or prevention systems
- Experience with leadership
- Experience with Unix, Linux, RedHat, and RHEL 6 or above
- Knowledge of basic data cryptographic techniques and government-classified networks
- Ability to design scalable and resilient network architectures in on-premise or cloud architectures
- Possession of excellent communication and teamwork skills
Clearance & Additional Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance
- Active TS/SCI clearance is desired
- All positions require at least 2-3 days per week on site; meetings and schedules may require additional on-site support

Compensation:
The typical annual salary range for this position is approximately, USD $115,000 - $143,000. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to salary, this position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, profit sharing / retirement plan and other benefits (all in addition to annual base salary).
