What does it mean to pay in cash?

To pay in cash means to complete a purchase or transaction using physical currency such as paper bills and coins, rather than using credit cards, debit cards, checks, or electronic payments. It can also help with budgeting, as you physically part with the money and can see how much is being spent. However, paying in cash may not provide the same level of security or record-keeping as digital payment methods.
