Position Description
The Concrete Paving Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating concrete paving crews on heavy civil construction projects, including slipform paving, curb and gutter, flatwork, and related concrete infrastructure. Reporting to the Trade Superintendent, this role ensures paving operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
The Concrete Paving Foreman leads daily crew activities, coordinates equipment and material placement, monitors production rates, and maintains consistent concrete quality while fostering a positive, safety-focused work environment.
Position Requirements
  • High School Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy civil concrete paving experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, curing, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret paving plans, grades, and profiles.
  • Experience coordinating crews, equipment, and concrete deliveries.
  • OSHA safety knowledge and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma required; trade or technical schooling preferred.
  • Valid driver's license
