Position Summary

ACME Concrete Paving, Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Batch Plant Foreman to oversee daily operations of portable concrete batch plants on heavy civil, FAA, DOT, commercial, and federal construction projects.
This position is responsible for managing plant production, coordinating crews, maintaining equipment, ensuring quality control, and supporting safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations in the field. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, operational knowledge of concrete batching systems, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of portable concrete batch plants.
  • Supervise and coordinate plant personnel and plant-related activities.
  • Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company safety policies and applicable regulations.
  • Monitor concrete production to maintain quality, consistency, and production goals.
  • Coordinate batching activities with project management, paving crews, trucking, and quality control personnel.
  • Input and monitor employee timecards and support adherence to plant budgets and operational cost controls.
  • Maintain plant and company equipment, coordinate repairs, and ensure proper preventative maintenance practices.
  • Assist with plant setup, tear down, calibration, troubleshooting, and mobilization activities.
  • Maintain accurate production records, inventory tracking, and operational documentation.
  • Ensure proper material management and communication regarding cement, aggregate, admixture, and fuel inventories.
  • Support scheduling and logistics to maintain efficient production operations.
  • Promote a positive team culture built on professionalism, accountability, and communication.Qualifications
  • Experience operating or supervising portable concrete batch plants required.
  • Knowledge of concrete production, mix designs, batching systems, and quality control procedures.
  • Experience with heavy civil, DOT, FAA, or Corps of Engineers projects preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel as required by project needs.
  • Proficient computer and documentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required.Preferred Experience
  • Experience with RexCon, Con-E-Co, Jonel Archer, or similar batch plant systems.
  • Experience managing crews in remote or fast-paced project environments.
