What is a paving manager?

Paving Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing and coordinating paving projects, such as roadways, parking lots, and driveways. They manage crews, schedules, budgets, and ensure that projects comply with safety and quality standards. Their duties often include planning project phases, sourcing materials, and communicating with clients and subcontractors. Paving Managers play a key role in ensuring that asphalt or concrete paving jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and to specification.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a paving manager?

To thrive as a Paving Manager, you need expertise in construction management, knowledge of paving materials and techniques, and often a degree in civil engineering or construction technology.
