Job description

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is seeking an experienced full-time Diabetes Advanced Practice Practitioner (APP) to join our established Endocrinology & Diabetes Care practice in Bangor, Maine. This is an excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate with a passion for diabetes care to make a meaningful impact within a growing, collaborative program that serves patients across the region.

The Opportunity:

  • Full-time outpatient position with flexible scheduling options, including a 4- or 5-day workweek
  • Established referral patterns to support a smooth transition into practice
  • Clinic schedule averaging 1214 patients per day, allowing time for quality, patient-centered care
  • Work alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary team including endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, dietitians, medical assistants, and administrative staff
  • Provide care for patients with:
    • Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes
    • Diabetes in pregnancy and gestational diabetes
    • Post-partum diabetes management
  • Supported by our ADA-recognized Diabetes and Nutrition Center, which includes RD Certified Diabetes Educators who actively assist with patient management and education
