Job description

We are looking for a Freelance Senior Technical Designer, Women's wovens, tops, pants, skirts, dresses for a global designer lifestyle brand based in NYC. This will be a 3-5 month contract working onsite.
  • Hourly pay rate up to $43.00 based on experience in wovens technical design.
Responsibilities:
  • Interact with Design and Merchandising during proto development to achieve design intent.
  • Create and maintain all Web PDM tech packs for multi-categories
  • Create and maintain proto, sample, and production status charts in conjunction with the approval process for assigned styles.
  • Manage block and prototype sample fittings. Update all fit notes and revised size specs into PDM in a timely manner. Clearly communicate pattern spec and fit changes to vendors.
  • Ensure that all protos and samples are reviewed upon arrival for trim and details.
  • Manage proto and sample review set up.
  • Develop and set up in-house block library.

Required Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of pattern making and garment construction
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in related field, or relevant work experience
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Classic / WEB PDM
  • Microsoft Office Suite
