Job description

Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities

Define the unified experience vision for how customers interact with MomentiveIQ across the full product portfolio

Design the cross-product navigation and interaction patterns that allow customers to move fluidly between products

Establish the design system and interaction patterns for AI-powered interfaces: conversational UX, proactive recommendations, inline intelligence, and agentic workflows

Own the information architecture that determines how AI-generated insights, suggestions, and actions surface within and across products

Lead user research to understand how customers currently navigate the portfolio, where they get stuck, and how we can reduce friction

Use AI tools to accelerate your design process: rapid prototyping, synthetic user testing, automated research synthesis, and concept generation that you refine with design expertise

Partner closely with product, engineering, and architecture to ensure the platform's capabilities are expressed through experiences that customers can actually understand and trust

Collaborate with product managers across the portfolio to ensure their individual product experiences connect coherently through MomentiveIQ

Build and maintain design standards that make it easy for products to implement MomentiveIQ patterns consistently

Establish and run cross-product usability testing and validation cycles to measure whether the unified experience is actually working for customers

Advocate for the customer's experience of the portfolio as a whole, especially in cases where individual product priorities conflict with cross-product coherence

Stay current on AI interaction design patterns, emerging UX paradigms for intelligent systems, and how leading platforms are solving similar cross-product challenges

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in design, HCI, or equivalent work experience

8+ years of UX/product design experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead design role

Direct experience designing cross-product or platform-level experiences, not just single-product feature work

Experience designing AI-powered interfaces in production: conversational UX, recommendation systems, agentic patterns, or similar

Track record of establishing design systems or interaction patterns adopted across multiple product teams

Other Skills:

Systems-level design thinking: ability to design for journeys that span multiple products, entry points, and user contexts

Deep understanding of AI interaction design challenges: communicating confidence levels, handling errors gracefully, designing for non-deterministic outputs, and building user trust in AI-generated content

Demonstrated use of AI tools in your own design workflow, including rapid prototyping, research synthesis, and concept validation

Strong information architecture skills, especially in complex multi-product environments

Ability to balance user experience quality with shipping speed. Comfort making pragmatic design trade-offs while maintaining a clear vision for where the experience is headed

Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to engineering, product, and executive audiences

Experience leading or mentoring designers, with the ability to set direction and maintain quality across a distributed design effort

Comfort operating as the design voice in cross-functional leadership discussions, advocating for customer experience alongside technical and business considerations

Background in SaaS, enterprise software, or multi-product platform design preferred

Background in the Association or Non-Profit space is a big bonus
