Amazon Softlines Private Brands seeks a skilled, passionate apparel pattern and fit expert to help deliver best in class fit and quality across its direct development products. The Global Fit team aims to delight customers of all shapes and sizes around the world with products that fit perfectly.

We safeguard product integrity throughout the full lifecycle, including commercialization, while driving continuous improvement within our mature selection. Central to this charter is our worldwide fit and expansion strategy, new product fit engineering and block maintenance, delivering fit CX excellence, vendor fit training and driving fit innovation. The ideal candidate is driven, meticulous, and capable of applying and conveying robust, pertinent technical expertise to diverse stakeholders worldwide.

You must bring at least 5 years of hands-on pattern cutting experience and profound knowledge of both fit and garment construction methods. You should be well-versed in both manual and digital pattern cutting techniques and grading, with experience using industry-standard CAD software. Your understanding of fabric properties and their impact on fit is essential, as is your ability to work efficiently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.

Previous experience in a similar role is crucial, as is a passion for working as a specialist.

Key job responsibilities
Deliver clear specifications on Tech Packs to include fit, construction and quality, being cognizant of target prices
Lead fit sessions ensuring fit, sizing, construction and quality consistency is achieved in line with standards
Own creation of blocks patterns and grading guidance across a suite of products and departments
Develop or update existing Technical Literature and SOPs as required
Leverage Technical knowledge to conduct wearer testing through development and post production
Evaluate garments to determine compliance of specs, construction, quality and fit intent versus the agreed standard
Track and manage workflow and workload
Travel to factories, working with technical teams to advance fit approval timelines and drive right first time development
Conduct root cause analysis and customer data deep dives in line with strategy/defect escalations
Lead technical conversations with Vendors, including quality and fit issue escalations
Be comfortable reading, evaluating and manipulating data led fit reporting
