Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts with a focus on habitational property, general liability, professional liability, and workers' compensation risks. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial account management, thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional client service. This position plays a key role in supporting account retention, ensuring accurate policy administration, and identifying opportunities for account growth.

Work location and arrangement: This is a full-time hybrid position, working 3 days per week in our Lawrenceville, GA office.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts by providing responsive, high-quality service to clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
  • Coordinate renewal activities, including marketing accounts, preparing carrier submissions, negotiating coverage, and securing timely placement.
  • Process policy changes, endorsements, cancellations, billing inquiries, premium financing requests, and non-payment follow-up activities.
  • Bind coverage accurately and ensure all policy documentation, applications, and account records are complete and maintained within the agency management system.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, brokers, and underwriters to address service requests, resolve issues, and provide coverage guidance.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries regarding policy coverages, endorsements, billing matters, and other account servicing needs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client files while ensuring documentation complies with agency standards and carrier requirements.
  • Monitor outstanding service items and proactively follow up to ensure timely completion, workflow efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for account rounding, cross-selling, and new business development within assigned accounts, partnering with Producers as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with internal team members to support operational excellence, account retention, and overall client success.
  • Stay informed on commercial insurance products, carrier guidelines, market conditions, and industry best practices through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Commercial Lines account management or sales support experience within an insurance agency, brokerage, or carrier environment.
  • Active Georgia Property & Casualty insurance license required.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, policy structures, underwriting processes, and coverage placement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing commercial policy renewals, marketing accounts, and binding coverage.
  • Experience working with agency management systems and commercial insurance software platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong commitment to client service.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in policy administration and documentation.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
