Job Description

Saint Luke's Specialty Clinic in Blue Springs is seeking a Lab Support Associate to join our team!

Processes and distributes lab specimens to in-house or reference destinations. Aids in preparing specimens for analysis. May assist with routine technical procedures.

  • Full-time day shift, 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday

  • Performs clerical duties including Epic order transcription and registration, order and processing of laboratory specimens, document filing.

  • Ensure accurate identification information on each patient specimen, as compared to information on accompanying requisition.

  • Verifies the integrity of specimens received with respect to published specimen requirements.

  • Processes each specimen per established protocol for test or tube type.

  • Retrieves laboratory results, cancels tests and performs problem-solving, as applicable.

  • Creates problem logs to document variances for follow-up with client/collection staff.

  • Communicates with clients and staff in providing test order or collection information .

  • No Phlebotomy experience needed

  • Great customer Service is a must!
