Job Description:
The Clinical Patient Support Representative plays a vital role by combining the responsibilities of a Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist. You will work collaboratively with clinical staff and administrative personnel to ensure the efficient and seamless operation of our clinical offices.
Responsibilities:
Medical Assistant | Clinical Support
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
  • Prepares examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized.
  • Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
  • Maintain infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.

Front Desk Reception | Administrative
  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, providing a positive and professional first impression of the clinic.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with the scheduling of any additional testing directed by the physician.
  • Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with billing questions.
  • Collect payments at time of check-in.
  • Review patient demographics, ensuring all data has been recorded, verifying accuracy, and entering the information into Practice Management and EHR.
  • Obtain and scan patients' driver's licenses and insurance card(s) into Ntierprise.
  • Ensure all required referrals have been obtained, scanned into the EMR, and linked appropriately.
  • Assist patients with registering in Phreesia.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years front office and clinical experience, preferably in Urology.
  • Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology; ICD-10 and CPT-4 Codes.

  • Current knowledge of acceptable and appropriate clinical practice, quality assurance, and patient management and care.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective healthcare team member.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.

  • Proficient computer software and database skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Comfortable asking probing questions to patients.
  • Must demonstrate a caring, compassionate, and patient attitude.
  • Maintain & adhere to HIPAA compliance/ regulations.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

Travel:
  • Must have the ability & willingness to travel to other sites as necessary within a geographic region.

Physical Requirements for the Job:
  • Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • May be required to help to transfer the patient.
  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.

Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
Actual compensation offered to candidates is based on work experience, education, skill level, and geographic location. Compensation may vary depending on the state or region in which the position is located, in accordance with applicable laws.
