Job description

FDRsafety is seeking a Safety Manager for a 1-Year commercial construction project with a large construction client near Harlem, GA. This individual will be expected to work on a Monday-Friday, 5-10, day shift schedule (Must be willing to work either days or nights) for the duration of the project. This role will be responsible for the development, execution, and enforcement of Health and Safety Policies and Programs on all project job sites. Per diem is available for non-local candidates.

Evaluating Practices & Procedures: 

  • Evaluate and update safety practices and procedures in adherence to changing legal and OSHA requirements
  • Conduct special studies and investigations related to health and safety matters for the company
  • Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities, or new prevention measures

Education /Knowledge: 

  • 10+ Years of consecutive commercial construction experience as a safety professional and an OSHA 500 OR; 5+ Years of consecutive commercial construction experience as a safety professional and either a Bachelor's Degree in Safety or a CSP (BCSP) is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in health and safety, risk management, occupational safety or construction is strongly preferred
  • CHST (BCSP) certification is strongly preferred
  • OSHA 510 Certification is strongly preferred
