Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Safety & Risk Manager to oversee all aspects of safety, security, and risk mitigation for a condo-hotel environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for guests, team members, and owners, while maintaining compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Provident Hotels and Resorts is a professional condominium hotel management company based in Clearwater Florida with over 45 years of experience. Established in 1976, current property locations include both the east and west coasts of Florida including the Florida Keys. Provident's diverse portfolio includes leisure and commercial condominium hotels, extended stay properties, destination resorts as well as vacation rentals.
Responsibilities
Safety & Risk Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Oversee daily safety and security operations across the property
  • Develop, implement, and enforce Safety & Risk SOPs
  • Conduct regular property inspections and identify potential risks or liabilities
  • Lead incident response, investigations, and reporting
  • Ensure proper documentation and coordination with insurance and legal partners when needed
  • Train and coach team members on safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Manage vendor compliance, including COIs and worker's compensation requirements
  • Collaborate closely with department leaders to ensure alignment and accountability
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
What are we looking for?
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays. Ability to work a flexible schedule and respond to urgent situations as needed
  • Prior experience in Safety, Security, or Risk Management required (hospitality or hotel environment strongly preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, incident management, and liability prevention
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, coach, and hold teams accountable
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Spanish language skills required
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
