Job Title: CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
Unit: Acute IMC Unit
Employment Type: Full time / 36 hours weekly
Shift: Day shift; 7am-7pm
Location: Silver Spring, Maryland
Position Purpose
The CNA works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health to deliver excellent patient care assistance under the supervision and direction of a designated health care professional in accordance with policies and procedures. This position is a great opportunity to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Supports the mission of Trinity and Holy Cross Hospital.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will:
  • As delegated by a licensed nurse, performs essential duties appropriate to role while assisting with basic to complex patient care needs.
  • Participates in direct one-to-one patient observation to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Assists delegated care team in keeping detailed records, clear communication and working with patients and families.
  • The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be assigned to function in either the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) or Nursing Assistant role.
  • Reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required:
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board for Certified Nursing Assistant
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
Preferred:
  • At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care setting highly preferred.

Pay Range: $18.11 - $24.00/hour
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
