As a Central Access Associate, you will be one of the first people patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers connect with when seeking care at Roswell Park. Through phone, email, chat, and other digital platforms, you'll help guide individuals through their cancer care journey with compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and navigating complex situations with empathy and confidence. Every interaction you have plays an important role in creating a positive experience for patients and their families during a critical time in their lives.
The starting annual salary for this position is $59,787 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will:
Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, caregivers, referring providers, and community partners
Answer questions about Roswell Park's services, treatment options, clinical trials, and available support resources
Help new patients begin their care journey by connecting them with the appropriate referral and scheduling teams
Coordinate communication between patients, caregivers, physicians, and support staff to ensure questions and concerns are addressed promptly
Investigate and resolve patient concerns, escalating issues when needed and following up to ensure a positive experience
Support referring physicians and healthcare providers by facilitating timely communication and coordination of care
Maintain accurate patient and provider information within customer relationship management systems and other technology platforms
Document interactions and service requests with attention to detail and accuracy
Assist patients with portal access and technology-related questions
Partner with operational, clinical, and technology teams to improve workflows, enhance the patient experience, and identify opportunities for service improvements
Help ensure key communication tools, schedules, and support systems remain current and effective
