POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reports To:            Practice Manager

Position Status:      Non-exempt

Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics is looking for an amazing Patient Coordinator to join our awesome team!

Kids Care Dental & Orthodontics is a northern California based practice that offers comprehensive services including preventive dental care, orthodontics and oral surgery for every gap-toothed, mischievous, silly, giggly smile. Our company sees only private-pay and PPO insured patients in beautiful private offices. The Role

The primary duty of the Patient Coordinator is to be an integral part of the office team and to consistently deliver the most memorable and fun service experience possible for every patient, every day in every office. 

The Essential Job Elements

  • Perform opening and closing duties
  • Answer phones in a polite and timely manner
  • Greet patients in a friendly, hospitable manner
  • Check-in and check-out
  • Present treatment plans, financial estimates and payment options
  • Schedule appointments in accordance with office protocols
  • Confirm all appointments consistent with company protocols
  • Resolve all billing concerns to patient satisfaction
  • Collect copays and set up financial arrangements
  • Post charges and payments
  • Set up account and new charts
  • Assist patients with completing paperwork
  • Process daily and weekly reports
  • Maintain strict compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, ADA, Dental Board, etc…)
  • Coordinate front and back office patient flow
  • Non-clinical area cleanliness
  • Other duties as assigned
