Job description

Patient Services Representative

The Patient Services Representative serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and supports the efficient operation of the reception area. This position welcomes patients, assists with registration and scheduling activities, verifies and updates patient information, provides directions, and responds to general questions. The Patient Services Representative delivers courteous, accurate, and timely service to help create a positive patient experience.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous customer service, reception, administrative, or related experience.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn registration, scheduling, and electronic health record systems.
  • Ability to provide professional and compassionate service to patients and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in a busy environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.
