We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented MRI Patient Access Representative to support daily front desk operations for our imaging team. This role helps patients schedule appointments, complete registration, understand payment expectations, and access medical records. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys providing excellent service to patients, providers, and coworkers.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Scheduling and Registration

  • Schedule MRI, CT, follow-up, and X-ray-only appointments as needed.

  • Assist patients with registration, paperwork, appointment questions, and check-in support.

Insurance and Payments

  • Verify insurance authorizations and follow up as needed to help patients access care in a timely manner.

  • Create patient estimates and explain benefit information clearly and professionally.

  • Collect patient balances before or at the time of service.

Medical Records Support

  • Use third-party systems to send and receive imaging studies from outside facilities.

  • Prepare CDs for patients while following HIPAA and medical release requirements.

Customer Service and Team Support

  • Provide courteous, timely service to patients, coworkers, supervisors, and physicians.

  • Assist patients with changing and getting ready for their MRI exam, following safety and privacy guidelines.

REQUIREMENTS

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Two years of medical office or customer service experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of EMR systems, especially EPIC, is a plus.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA requirements is a plus.

  • Strong computer, communication, interpersonal, hospitality, and customer service skills.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, remain calm under pressure, and work with minimal supervision.

Schedule and Work Environment

MRI is open between 6:00am-6:30pm, M-F; 7:00am-12:00pm, Saturday

Shift will vary, and evening or Saturday shifts may be required.
