What are 'Pathway' jobs?

Pathway jobs typically refer to positions within the Pathways Programs, which are U.S. federal government initiatives designed to provide students and recent graduates with opportunities to explore federal careers. These programs include internships, the Recent Graduates Program, and the Presidential Management Fellows Program. Pathway jobs offer structured training, mentorship, and the potential for conversion to permanent federal positions, making them an excellent entry point into government service.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Pathway Coordinator, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Pathway Coordinator, you need strong organizational skills, knowledge of educational or career development frameworks, and relevant qualifications such as a degree in education, counseling, or a related field. Familiarity with student information systems, career assessment tools, and data management software is typically required. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills help you effectively guide and support individuals through their chosen pathways. These skills ensure personalized guidance, smooth program operations, and positive outcomes for participants.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working in pathway program roles, and how can they be addressed?

Professionals in pathway program roles often work to support students transitioning between educational stages, such as high school to college or workforce entry. Common challenges include managing diverse learner needs, coordinating resources across multiple departments, and ensuring clear communication among stakeholders. Addressing these challenges typically involves strong organizational skills, proactive collaboration with faculty and advisors, and continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in student support. Building strong relationships with students and maintaining flexibility can also help pathway professionals navigate these complexities effectively.

Join Ivy Rehab's dedicated team where you're not just an employee, but a valued teammate! Together, we provide world-class care in physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA) services. Our culture promotes authenticity, inclusion, growth, community, and a passion for exceptional care for every patient.
Job Description:
We create the opportunity - YOU make the impact.
At Ivy Rehab Physical Therapy, we're building more than outpatient clinics - we're creating career pathways for physical therapists who want growth, mentorship, leadership, and long-term opportunities.
Our Physical Therapists have opportunities to pursue multiple professional tracks, including new-grad mentorship, residency education, specialty program development, non-treating roles, clinic leadership, and future clinic partnership opportunities.
With productivity expectations below many industry standards, we prioritize sustainable practice environments that support high-quality patient care. We foster a culture centered on professional growth, hands-on learning, strong clinical relationships, collaboration, and long-term career stability.
Compensation:
  • $83,000 to $105,000/year (based on location, experience, certs, etc.)
  • If taking advantage of our clinician bonus plan, you can earn up to an additional $1,192.31 a paycheck ($31,000 annually).
  • Welcome bonuses or student loan repayment offered for certain opportunities (up to $10K)

Full-time is not your thing, but looking for a few extra hours a week? We would still love to chat about part-time or per diem opportunities we may have at our nearby clinics!
What makes Ivy different?
  • With the utilization of ScribeIQ (an AI documentation tool), clinicians can expect a significant reduction in their normal documentation time, allowing them to spend more quality time with patients and keeping their notes AT work.
  • Teammate Resource Groups (TRGs) such as Ivy Pride, Early Career Development, Wellness & Work Life Balance, and Military.
  • Clinical Career Ladder - get incentivized for your clinical accomplishments
  • Internal travel program - travel as much as you want, and we will have a home for you to settle back into without losing any of your benefits or perks
  • You can open your very own clinic (or clinics) - with equity
  • Multiple residency and specialty programs - two partnered with HSS!
  • We don't just offer your standard benefits package. We also offer:
    • Pet insurance
    • Short-term disability (with no pre-existing condition clause)
    • Free legal, financial, and mental health services through our employee assistance program
    • Up to 15 complementary therapy services at any of our clinics for Ivy teammates & dependents
    • 401k with company match (last match was 15%!)

What we look for:
  • License or pending license as a Physical Therapist in the treating state
  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • Eagerness to grow & learn
  • Interest in pursuing a specialty outside of your standard ortho (sports, pelvic, vestibular, peds, neuro, geriatrics, etc.)
  • Team player

You can find us at 601 E. Main St., Hart, MI 49420 - near John Gurney Park!
We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the recruiting and employment process. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and organizational need. Any listed salary range or contractual rate does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
