Job description

Pathologists' Assistant / Pathology Technician

Location: New York, NY 10065
Shift: Day | 5×8 Hours | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 8 Weeks, with possibility of extension
Pay Rate: $3,600–$4,100/week

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified Pathologists' Assistant / Pathology Technician to support clinical pathology operations in a healthcare setting. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, relevant pathology experience, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Qualifications
  • 0–3 years of related Pathology experience required.
  • Current New York State licensure as a Pathologists' Assistant.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a Pathologists' Assistant program or an equivalent program recognized by the New York State Education Department.
  • Alternatively, Bachelor's degree or higher from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program.
  • Fellowship in the American Association of Pathologists' Assistants (AAPA) preferred.
  • ASCP certification preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a clinical pathology environment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills.
Schedule & Assignment Details
  • Monday–Friday
  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 45-minute unpaid lunch break
  • 8-week assignment, with potential for extension.
