We are looking for highly motivated IHC Lab Assistant to join our fast-growing team. Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Laboratory Operations, the IHC Lab Assistant will effectively apply a working knowledge and skill of designated IHC Lab Assistant-related duties and tasks, in support of the Department as a whole, to complete the daily assigned workload.
 

Requirements
Must possess a thorough working knowledge of the IHC staining procedures, Histochemical staining procedure and routine Histology procedures sufficient to accomplish the following:

  • Organizing and maintaining the laboratory to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
  • Shipping and receiving client projects and samples, including preparing and labeling materials for transport
  • Maintaining inventory and supplies, including ordering and restocking as needed
  • Performing slide and cassette printing, slide cleaning, and scanning according to established protocols
  • Following strict quality control and quality assurance standard operating procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma along with some lab experience
  • Tech-savvy, fast learner. We use a proprietary, digital LIMS system
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working at a biotech preferred but not required
