Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Position Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school-based team in Cary, North Carolina. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy support and assist students with speech, language, and communication needs across a K-12 educational setting.


Minimum Requirements


•Active North Carolina Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license required
•Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution
•Completion of supervised clinical fieldwork requirements
•Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
•Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
•Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills


Duties and Responsibilities


•Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP
•Implement individualized treatment plans and classroom communication strategies
•Document therapy sessions, student progress, and attendance accurately
•Assist with speech screenings, therapy preparation, and instructional materials
•Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student success
