About the Role

RNS Health Care Services Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Supervisor (Nursing and Rehabilitation) to join our growing team.


In this dynamic, non-clinical leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Nursing and Rehabilitation departments, supporting coordinators, clinicians, and clients to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.


You will work closely with the Director of Operations and play a key role in driving operational performance, service quality, and positive client outcomes.


This role requires nominal travel, including home visits approximately every two weeks as part of operational oversight and service monitoring.


What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the effective coordination and performance of the Nursing and Rehabilitation teams, with a strong focus on operational leadership and service delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and support Nursing and Rehabilitation Coordinators in daily operations
  • Manage staff and contractor scheduling, attendance, and coverage
  • Conduct periodic home visits (approximately bi-weekly) to support service oversight and quality assurance
  • Act as primary contact for client, provider, and operational escalations, including Ontario Health @Home (OHAH)
  • Participate in client case conferences and OHAH meetings as required
  • Ensure compliance with operational policies, KPIs, and service quality standards
  • Lead performance management activities, including coaching, feedback, and formal evaluations
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and team integration
  • Facilitate regular departmental meetings in collaboration with Clinical Leads
  • Support partnerships with community agencies and stakeholders
  • Provide after-hours on-call support for urgent operational issues

  • Clinical background is strongly preferred, including: Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Occupational Therapist (OT), Physiotherapist Assistant (PTA), Physiotherapist (PT), Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA), or Social Worker (SW)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare management experience (home care supervisory experience is mandatory)
  • Familiarity with Ontario Health @Home and Ontario Health Teams is an asset
  • Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills
  • Demonstrated experience managing staff performance and operational outcomes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Valid Ontario G or G2 driver's licence (required)
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and valid auto insurance (required)
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check (within last 6 months)
  • Ability to complete periodic home visits (approximately every two weeks)
