You will work in a supportive outpatient office environment in Bedford, Virginia, where our interdisciplinary team focuses on restorative therapies and mental health care. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, identifying impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that impact their treatment and recovery.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that adhere to physician orders, establish measurable patient goals, and monitor their progress.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and modalities in therapy sessions to promote optimal recovery and rehabilitation.
• Document all patient-related information, such as evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries promptly and accurately, ensuring legal and ethical standards are met.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff, providing guidance on best practices and patient care protocols.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure cohesive treatment strategies.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities, contributing to departmental growth and improvement initiatives.

The Physical Therapist will work primarily with a diverse outpatient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. An understanding of varying age groups and their unique rehabilitation needs is crucial. You will provide a high level of care to empower patients to achieve their health goals and improve functional capacity.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant technology to manage patient information efficiently.

• At least two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting is preferred, demonstrating proficiency in assessment and treatment methodologies.
• Previous experience collaborating in a multidisciplinary clinical environment is an advantage.
• Exposure to advanced therapeutic techniques and modalities will be beneficial for enhancing patient outcomes.
