Job description

Anatomical Pathologist or Surgical Pathologist - Greater Orlando, FL

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate and timely diagnosis of the presence and stage of disease from a tissue specimen, utilizing appropriate laboratory procedures. Confers with other physicians as needed;
  • Takes the initiative to improve quality in the workplace;
  • Provide intra-operative consultations;
  • Provides advice to referring physicians regarding the clinical significance of laboratory findings.

Requirements:

  • Pathologist with at least 3 years of post-residency Hospital experience
  • Trained in Breast Pathology is preferred
  • Trained in Genitourinary Pathology is preferred
  • Experience in signing out complex cases
  • Experience in signing a high volume of GI cases
  • Ability to communicate with colleges and leadership
  • Required: Board Certified in Anatomical Pathology, Surgical Pathology or cytopathology
  • Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with high volume.
  • Experience with prognostic markers
