This position opens the door to work with a diverse clientele through a blend of outpatient and occasional inpatient therapy services, giving you the chance to specialize in various areas such as pediatric speech therapy, adult communication rehabilitation, or geriatric cognitive recovery practices. Here, you will discover both purpose and flexibility, creating a fulfilling career that aligns with your passion.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments across various age groups by utilizing both standardized tools and observational assessments.
- Craft tailored treatment plans that target immediate and extended communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions that focus on communication enhancement, fluency improvement, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and families to construct comprehensive care approaches.
- Provide educational resources to families to support patient progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure seamless continuity of care during the rehabilitation journey.
- Maintain precise and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Commit to professional growth by engaging in ongoing education and networking with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary if not already certified by ASHA.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
- Strong foundation in evidence-based practices for treating patients across the lifespan, understanding the nuances of both developmental and acquired disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and collaborative healthcare teams.
- Adept at modifying therapeutic approaches to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Sound clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation protocols.
- A competitive salary reflecting experience and skill level.
- Flexible work schedules to promote work-life harmony and accommodate diverse caseloads.
- Options to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro-based therapy, or geriatric services.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday remuneration.
- Access to medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
- Support for continuing education and professional development opportunities.
- A collaborative environment that fosters a culture of quality care and lifelong learning.
A Profession with Impact - that Drives You Forward
In this role, your mission will be more than just delivering speech therapy; you will contribute to a community committed to restoring voices and facilitating meaningful interactions. You'll be part of a team that feels like family, where cooperation and collaboration are valued above competition. Each patient's journey is unique, and we trust you to help them navigate their narrative.
