Junior and Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associates Company: HireNow Staffing (Direct Placement Partner)

This full‑time opportunity is ideal for attorneys who are passionate about complex intellectual property litigation and enjoy representing innovative companies involved in cutting‑edge technologies.

The successful candidates will support sophisticated patent litigation matters from inception through trial, working on disputes involving software, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and other advanced technologies. This position requires exceptional legal writing, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, high‑performance legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patent litigation matters through every stage of federal court proceedings.
  • Draft motions, pleadings, legal memoranda, briefs, and other litigation documents.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and develop strategic legal analyses.
  • Assist with discovery management, document review, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Support claim construction, patent infringement, invalidity, and enforceability analyses.
  • Assist with proceedings before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), including post‑grant matters where applicable.
  • Collaborate with litigation teams representing clients across technology and life sciences industries.
  • Analyze complex technical and scientific concepts while working closely with expert witnesses and technical consultants.
  • Maintain exceptional work quality while managing multiple high‑priority litigation matters.
  • Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, experts, and court personnel.
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • 1–6 years of patent litigation experience.
  • Experience supporting patent litigation matters in U.S. Federal Courts.
  • Strong legal research, legal writing, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent oral advocacy, communication, and client service abilities.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Active Bar admission or eligibility to sit for or waive into the applicable state bar.
  • Ability to manage multiple litigation matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must currently reside within one of the approved hiring markets.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • U.S.-based applicants only.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Biology, or another technical discipline.
  • Experience litigating matters involving software, hardware, artificial intelligence, semiconductors, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
  • Experience supporting claim construction, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Familiarity with post‑grant proceedings before the USPTO.
  • Strong courtroom presence and litigation strategy development.
  • Experience working within nationally recognized intellectual property litigation practices.
  • Stable career progression demonstrating increasing litigation responsibility and client exposure.
Disqualifiers
  • Jumpy resumes will not be accepted or interviewed.
  • Less than one year or substantially more than six years of directly relevant patent litigation experience for this opportunity.
  • No experience supporting patent litigation matters in federal court.
  • Weak legal writing, research, analytical, or oral advocacy skills.
  • No active Bar admission or inability to obtain admission in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Applicants requiring employment sponsorship.
