Position Summary: Drive a passenger van over designated routes in accordance with established time schedules to transport students to district locations.
Term of Employment: 12 month position
Salary: Per Local 95 Master Contract
Report to: Director of Non-Instructional Support Services
Qualifications:
  • Have and maintain a current PA valid driver's license (CDL - S endorsement -P/Air Brakes) and be insurable by the District's Insurance Company, preferred. In absence of CDL, selected candidate must agree to pursue CDL license and endorsements with PennDOT.
  • Five (5) years driving experience with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass physical examination
  • Ability to drive and maintain passenger van
  • Ability to lift eighty (80) pounds
  • Must be bondable
  • Must be able to do repetitive lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
  • Must be able to do repetitive stooping, kneeling and crouching
  • Must be able to do repetitive reaching and handling of heavy materials and/or equipment
  • Possess current satisfactory performance evaluations.
  • Professional tact, diplomacy and flexibility with administrators, staff, teachers, students, parents and the community
  • Knowledge, skills and experience related to working with young children

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Examples of work performed might include; but not limited to:
  • Safely transport EPS students
  • District labor duties required when not driving
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisors of Maintenance/Transportation
