Job description

CDL PARATRANSIT DRIVER (Astoria Queens)

Starting Pay: $23.00/hr.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Operate passenger vehicles designed for seven passengers or fewer.
  • Maintain safe and timely pick-up and drop-off schedules.
  • Transport wheelchair passengers to and from scheduled destinations.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed.
  • Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility equipment during transport.
  • Complete required trip documentation and reports.
  • Provide professional, courteous, and reliable customer service.
  • Follow all safety procedures and transportation regulations.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid NYS CDL Class C or Class B with Passenger Endorsement.
  • Valid TLC Paratransit License preferred (not required) or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to assist passengers with mobility needs.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
  • Previous experience transporting passengers, seniors, or individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Full-time availability, Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts.
  • Availability for additional Saturday hours as needed.
