Project Engineer
Bel-Aire Mechanical, Inc.-a leading mechanical contractor serving the Southwest for over four decades-is seeking a Project Engineer to join our on-site team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a dynamic opportunity to work on large-scale mechanical construction projects, contributing to complex, high-performance systems that make a lasting impact.
As a Project Engineer, you'll work directly with Project Managers, Senior PMs, and Project Directors, supporting the successful delivery of major projects. Your role will be hands-on and central to operations, spanning everything from documentation and scheduling to productivity tracking, BIM/CADD coordination, and customer engagement.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll support day-to-day project operations with responsibilities that include:
  • Assisting in maintaining all project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, specification reviews, subcontracts, change orders, and corresponding logs
  • Helping to develop and update the project schedule, including labor projections, equipment lead times, fabrication delivery dates, and rentals
  • Supporting job cost control and billing needs as required
  • Participating in site safety planning, including hazard analysis reviews, pre-task planning, jobsite walks, and toolbox talks
  • Assisting with QA/QC (quality assurance/quality control) requirements as needed
  • Coordinating BIM/CADD activities and integration into the field
  • Engaging in customer relations, subcontractor management, and procurement activities
  • Performing additional job-related duties as deemed necessary by the Project Manager

What We're Looking For:
  • A degree in Construction Management and 3-5 years of construction experience- OR -10+ years of increasing responsibility in mechanical construction (in lieu of degree)
  • Strong interpersonal skills-you'll be interfacing with owners, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Advanced tech skills: Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and other Office tools
