JOB TITLE: Birthday Party Host FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
General Statement of Duties: Responsible for assisting in all birthday activities.
Supervision Received: Works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Facility Managers and Facility Manager.
Supervision Exercised: None.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Examples of Duties: The following examples of duties are intended to be illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive.
- Set up party room prior to each event and cleans-up after each event.
- Works with parents involved in parties to ensure all party activities are conducted safely, professionally and with positive attitude.
- Follows all HRCA and Facility policies and procedures.
- Coordinates the serving of food, drink and any other miscellaneous activities conducted in the party room.
- Cooperate with other staff members in coordinating party space, program set-ups and equipment use.
- Participates in the mission of the organization of “Enhancing property values and creating quality of life through recreation, community events, and leadership.”
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical and Environmental Standards:
Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a busy aquatic environment where noise and interruptions prevail. Work will also be performed in different types of conditions including, but not limited to, heat, humidity and wind. Must be able to frequently sit, walk, stand, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, reach and lift, push or pull and get in the water. Manual dexterity is needed to perform the functions of this position. The ability to talk and hear through face-to-face communication is needed. Vision requirements include near and far acuity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge, Skills amp; Abilities:
Thorough understanding of all facility rules and regulations governing the HRCA. Ability to communicate with patrons and staff of all ages in a polite and courteous manner.
Minimum age requirement of 15 years of age.
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Education:
Completion of one year of high school is desired.
Experience:
Previous customer service experience and basic computer skills are desired.
